Harahan Real Estate
Harahan is a suburb of New Orleans, but is located in Jefferson Parish. It was developed out a community of railroad workers and named for James Theodore Harahan who was president of The Illinois Central Railroad from 1906-1911. Harahan was built in the bend of the Mississippi River that was once surrounded by plantation homes including Tchoupitoulas House. Being a primarily residential community, Harahan boasts a baseball park and recreational complex.
